  • NON-FIRST TIME BORROWER CHECK RELEASE - TBA
  • PELL GRANT CHECK RELEASE - TBA
  • FIRST TIME BORROWER CHECK RELEASE - TBA

 

Steps for Summer Financial Aid:

  • Step 1: Register for all summer classes

  • Step 2: Register for a minimum of 6 hours in each term for grant funding other than Pell. Pell awards only require 3 hours.

  • Step 3: Be Pell eligible

  • Step 4: Meet satisfactory academic progress

Other Facts:

  • There is not a separate summer application needed in order to be awarded summer aid.

  • A student placed on suspension for the spring semester will lose eligibility for summer aid.

  • No Bridge Loans will be available for any reason.

  • Student loans are not available in the summer.

It is Tyler Junior College's policy to require a new Master Promissory Note (MPN) EACH year regardless of the policy of your individual lender.
